이번 에 비밀을 알려드릴 회사 Razer를 통해 한번 탐구하는 시간을 가져보겠습니다.
그러기전에 우리가 알고 있는 세계최초 고해상도 마우스를 기억하고 계시는지 궁금합니다.
바로 세계최초 2000DPI를 가지고 있는 붐슬랭 이라는 녀석입니다.
그러기전에 붐슬랭을 탄생시킨 레이저 의 역사에 대해서 살펴볼 필요가 있습니다.
레이저의 역사

Razer was founded in 1998 by a team of engineers and marketeers to develop and market a high end computer gaming mouse, called the Boomslang. It was claimed as the world's first 1000 dpi mouse (as opposed to 200 or 400 dpi offerings) and purported to give greater accuracy (and consequently, higher scores) to gamers who used it.
Razer was the one of the first companies to sponsor gamers, which directly contributed to the emerging pro-gaming phenomenon. Johnathan "Fatal1ty" Wendel was amongst the first wave of sponsored gamers and is still currently active in pro-gaming.
Razer stumbled around 2000 in the dot-com bust, although not strictly a dot-com. It was relegated to the economic trash heap, and product development was stalled. Despite Razer's powerful 1400 and 2100 DPI mechanical mice, they lost market share as other manufacturers and users began turning to optical.

사진을 보면 아시겠지만 붐슬랭 2000과 2500과 큰차이점은 있어보입니다.
간단한 플래시롬으로 2000DPI가 나오는지는 의문이지만 현재 나오고 있는 제품들 보다 훨씬 엄격하게 테스트해서 나온 제품인거 같습니다.
레이저 가 자랑하는 2000DPI 해상도는 레이저가 자체적으로 개발한것이 아닌 카나 사가
가지고 있는 기술인건 확실해보입니다.

다만 구글링을 통해서 알게된 것은

붐슬랭을 공동 개발한 회사가 카나사 이며 레이저와 기술협력을 통해서 만들어진 기술이기때문에 레이저사가 주장하는 최초 고해상도 마우스는 뻥인것으로 들어났고.. -_-;
언더 라이센스는 그 회사의 기술을 돈을 주고 사왔다는 애기인데 .. 이러면 애기가 달라집니다.
그러면 레이저사 가 주장하는 기술들은 순전히 카나사의 기술을 날로 먹었다는 뜻이니..
